Girls residing in the Wayzata school district entering grades 3-12 (Fall 2026). 



$195 - includes jersey and flags

Provide girls entering 3rd-12th grades with an opportunity to have FUN while playing flag football in a house league environment. Players will learn teamwork and basic football skills while developing a better appreciation for the game of football.

Games will consist of 2, 20-minute running clock halves with a 2 minute halftime. No scores or W-L records will be officially kept as this league maintains the house/rec atmosphere.

Tentative 2026 Schedule start times by division: Wednesdays

3rd - 5th Grade Divisions: 6:30 - 7:45pm

6 & 7th Grade Divisions: 7:30- 8:45pm

HS Division: 8-9pm

"Open Gym" Sundays

Sept 13 -Oct 4

WGFF will be hosting additional open gym (on the field) opportunities for the girls on Sunday nights. Details to come.

3rd Grade

Players are assigned to teams by elementary school whenever possible. Roster sizes and coach availability are also considered during the team formation process. This age group will primarily focus on basic skills (physical and social) needed to learn the game of flag football in a safe, dynamic, and positive environment. Half of each Wednesday night will be dedicated to skill work/mini games, and half to 5v5 game play with some modified rules (age appropriate).

Grades 4-12

The goal is to form fun and balanced teams based on play-with requests, school, and parity when possible. We will accept one "play with" request if it is mutually matched by the requested player. However, due to roster size limitations and coach availability, we are not able to guarantee all requests will be honored.

*Levels may vary in number of teams based on registrations, fields, and resources available.

Wayzata Turf Fields will be the primary fields, but due to popularity and growth of the program other fields may be needed as we grow.

We are a 100% volunteer-led and run organization that depends on parent coaches and volunteers. Please consider coaching your player's team. All you need is a basic understanding of the game and a willingness to let the girls have fun in a safe and organized environment. Coaching materials will be provided.
